Two Duke Scholars Received North Carolina's Highest Honor

Two Duke faculty members will be honored Thursday with the state’s highest civilian honor, the North Carolina Award. Governor Roy Cooper will present the award to Timothy B. Tyson for literature and to Blake S. Wilson for science.

Tim Tyson and Blake Wilson, Duke faculty who are also Duke alumni, will be among nine individuals to receive the state's highest civilian honor.

Six Duke Engineers Named to Global Highly Cited List

The list of Highly Cited Researchers for 2021 includes six Duke engineering professors spanning all four Pratt School of Engineering departments: Charles Gersbach (BME and MEDx Affiliate), David Mitzi (MEMS), Yiran Chen (ECE), Stefano Curtarolo (MEMS), David Smith (ECE) and Mark Wiesner (CEE and MEDx Affiliate).
