We invite you to participate in the second annual Triangle Health Innovation Challenge (THInC), held on Duke’s campus from September 16th-18th. THInC is a three-day healthcare hackathon that will bring together students, clinicians, engineers, designers and others from the Triangle area to form teams and tackle issues facing our healthcare system.
No previous hackathon experience is needed - we invite anyone who’s passionate about health to participate! Over the course of three days, participants will develop, implement, test and pitch solutions to address specific pain points in healthcare. In just three days, you have the opportunity to form a team and develop an idea into a working prototype. If you’ve identified something broken in healthcare, you can build and validate a fix alongside engineers and clinicians. You can also attend without a specific idea and be exposed to challenges facing patients and healthcare providers daily. Finally, you will have the opportunity to hear from leaders of healthcare innovation and tap into our talented panel of clinical, business and technical mentors to help you refine and improve your solutions.
Participants will have an opportunity to compete for prizes up to $4,000. Registration is $15 for students and $25 for others (with an extra early bird discount until August 31st) and includes all your meals for the weekend, an event t-shirt and access to the tools and mentors to help you bring your teams’ idea to life.
We hope you come THInC with us as we leverage the brightest minds in the Triangle to tackle real health challenges.
